What stays on your device

Claptoscore runs entirely in your browser. Your taps, recordings, settings and calibration are processed locally and stored only in your browser's local storage, so they are there next time you visit. They are never sent to us. You can remove them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

If you turn on the microphone, the audio is analysed in real time on your device to detect claps. It is not recorded, stored or transmitted. The microphone switches off when you untick the option or close the page.

Hosting

The site is served through Amazon Web Services (Amazon S3 and CloudFront). Like any web server, these services process your IP address and request details to deliver the pages and may keep them in short-lived logs for security and operations.

Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts and the notation library from cdnjs (Cloudflare); these providers receive your IP address when your browser fetches those files.

Advertising

Claptoscore is free and is funded by advertising. Ads are provided by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads, measure them and, where you consent, personalise them based on your visits to this and other websites. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent through a Google-certified consent tool before any personalised advertising, and can change their choice at any time through the privacy link it provides.

Your rights

Because we do not collect personal data ourselves, there is usually nothing for us to show, correct or delete. For data held by Google in connection with ads, use Google's own tools linked above. Under the GDPR you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
